So this Star Trek book wasn’t one of the greatest I’ve read. The moment you start reading it you can sort of guess what’s going to happen, then about, oh say, 40 pages in you know exactly what is going to happen. However the ride there wasn’t terrible. It did have some interesting parts, like when Kirk gets stuck on a planet where he is believed to be another man who screwed over the local mafia. That was probably the most interesting and favourite part of the book.
I did also appreciate that the potential love interest lost interest by the end. One of my biggest pet peeves in Star Trek books is when Ensign Mary Sue gets with Kirk.
Would I re-read it: No.
Would I recommend it: No.
Am I going to keep it: Yes.
