So I went into this book expecting it to be rambling and incoherent. I was pleasantly surprised by the first two chapters being written wonderfully about the days after Shatner finished Star Trek and was 'in between jobs' so to speak.
Unfortunately once we actually get into the movies themselves it feels more like an essay, or interview with the different directors and writers rather then memories from Shatner himself. However I found it full of fun behind the scenes facts (They all hated The Motion Picture too) and interesting to hear how the different events and original scrapped scripts were.
Would I re-read it: Yes
Would I recommend it: Yes if you have a deep love of Star Trek. If youre looking for something with a more story and less just nerdy tid-bits, this isn't for ya.
Am I going to keep it: Absolutely!
