Civil War II: Well shit son, what is happening right now? Ulysses needs to tell me. Though I'm not sure what is happening to him first. This was a good starter. A good '0' comic. I have so many questions I need answers to, but I'm excited to get these answers. I'm excited to see Rhodey die and how they side and play out. The first Civil War was not as amazing as I had hoped. So I want to see what they do, so many of our heroes now are also balancing high school, I want to see this break teams. I want to see Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel interact amidst a battle. What I mean by that is I want to know if they are going to be on the same side or different. Is it a war of words and a few punches, or are people going to die? I'm very, very excited for one. Very excited.
Silk: Don't interject your Spiderwoman story line right onto the middle of my Silk plot, wtf? Cindy Moon must be protected at all costs! I will fight Black Cat myself for her. She's one of my new fave Marvel ladies. I've fallen for her story... Even if I hate her family.
Uncanny Avengers: Hank Pym? I call bullshit. This is Ultron with a borrowed human shell to maintain a body. Like that obviously just can't be him. Also I liked that they wrapped up that Pleasant Hill shit in one comic. It was a weird plot line that they couldn't really do much with without starting a whole series. It seemed like that was not the plan. I liked Deadpool defending his spot on the team though, and Rogue admitting her trust of him. I look forward to the next issue, but my one question is: Did Cap get young again?
Contest of Champions: This feels a lot like a little kid playing with his toys. There's a build up, then it's like the kid gets distracted by another plot line. Also are these people dead? Is this a one shot? Genuinely uncertain. I'm interested in what The Maestro plans to do and what's up with Tony being 'dead' and White Fox. But it's very jumbled and feels like they tried to make an app a game. Imagine that.
Vision: I had no idea what to expect. None. But it's framed like the perfect 1950's family with the undertones of the mystery and, yes, even murder. My God. I recommend it to everyone. Vision's wife maintains a smile and a positive attitude, even as she hides a body in the backyard without his knowledge. She also has every ability Vision does, as do the children, I believe. So at one point Vision finds the body that his wife buried when a dog uncovers it and gets electrocuted and dies.
He is silent. He is silent as he removes the dog. And he is silent as he begins to add to his family. Suddenly there is a green dog, a new pet for the family.
Vision never confronts his wife about the body. He knows she has lied. But he's letting it go. Shit.
So my theory is that the family won't last. Vision will have to power Virginia down or fight her, and Viv will go crazy. Or they will all work together as a family to fight the other heroes who have been assembled by a woman who can see into the future and sees Vision destroying everything. I think he's decided his family is what matters. His family is the most important. No matter what.
Maybe if they 'kill' him Vin will become the new Vision.
