Blade II: Our Reaction

So, we were NOT excited about Blade II. The first Blade was bad, so so bad, and we just didn't see how a sequel could improve upon it. We were a bit wrong.

We started off with sadness. And drinking

And as soon as the movie started, we had questions. Continuity questions, you know?

It should say, "Did the doctor in the last movie die?" But when you're live-tweeting, spelling and syntax is the first thing to go.

And then we were just worried about our favorite character in the whole series

Once our worries were proven unnecessary, we then marveled at the much improved fight choreography

Then John had some things to say about some of the stylistic choices made...

And then we were worried about Kris Kristofferson again, but it turned out okay.

And then we were surprised by a familiar face. Emma didn't believe it at first, but I knew. I knew...

John was right for once!

John was right for once!

And then, cue the Daryl Dixon jokes...

This was the best one. Yeah, they were all bad...John's not sorry.

Halfway through the movie, we noticed that it was exceedingly different from the first, stylistically

Although some tropes never change...

Of course, we squee-d and carried on even more about Whistler, the best goddamn character in the movie

No, seriously

And finally, right at the end, just as the credits began to roll, we figured out what was different in Blade II
