My other costume was half of a couple: Deckard and Rachael from Blade Runner:
A lot of time and expense went into this costume. And more will go into it in the future...we're planning on improving each year, with the goal of having our costumes screen-accurate by 2019 (The year in which the film takes place). But even in their first revision, we got a nice response. I think at this point more Dragon Con members than not don't know the film or our costumes, but the older fans loved it. And we enjoyed wearing them so much, we decided out of the blue to wear them a second night.
(In retrospect, discussing my two costumes leads me to a Dragon Con Mini-Lesson: Try to keep your costumes cool. Both of mine involved multiple layers and long robes/coats, which meant I was dripping with sweat the entire time...that's not fun)
Aside from our own costumes, the biggest joy from this and every other Dragon Con is seeing other people's costumes. In no particular order, here are some of my favorites:
Sadly, there were plenty more great costumes that I didn't get pictures of. Maybe next year I need to just hire a photographer to follow me around.
